Publisher's Description of Measurement Converter 1.0.1
By mysoftwarefactory.net; All programs by this author
Although many things such as emotion and thought may be difficult to measure, some things are much easier to quantitize. Measurement Converter aids in converting one measurement to another similar measurement. Why people care so much about measurements and conversions still remain a mystery to one such as myself. I am convinced however that there could be a useful purpose for it. A recipe, for example, might be written in the metric system. Someone, having only cups, tablespoons, teaspoons and the like could find it distressing when attempting to follow such a recipe. Using a tool such as Measurement Converter would, in this unique particular situation, prove useful. On the other hand, there are many situations where a tool such as Measurement Converter would not provide much help. Cooking over an open fire while camping could be a possible example where a tool such as Measurement Converter would not be very useful. Every time I went camping as a boy scout I was instructed to locate a 'current bush' which would supposedly allow us to plug in any electrical device we may have brought. To this day I have not found one yet. Seeing that a tool such as Measurement Converter generally runs on a computer - and a computer of course requires electricity, I believe a tool such as Measurement Converter would not be very useful when cooking over an open fire while camping. This does not mean that a tool such as Measurement Converter is entirely useless. Inquiring minds often pose questions that can only be answered by converting one measurement to another. I once heard of a rocket that did not make it into orbit simply because the programmers forgot to convert feet to meters. Of course that is just hearsay. If it were true, however unlikely, then I would be inclined to reason that a tool such as Measurement Converter may have proved quite useful. It appears to me however, that whoever made such an error did it out of absent mindedness -and not out of ignorance. |
